New York State is escalating its fight against the coronavirus pandemic. All industries are being asked to contribute their resources, talents, and time to the effort. Specifically, New York has asked the tech community, to form a SWAT Team to beat COVID-19.

The State’s official government website, says it is seeking “impactful solutions and skilled tech employees” to work with authorities to scale and grow technology-based and technology-driven responses. Special consideration will be made to any groups or teams based in the same institution, as the initiative will assign tasks with minimum 90-day “deployment” periods. Efficiency and effectivity are of prime importance.

As New York is one of the hardest-hit states, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has been calling in support from all levels of government and citizenry.
